Shrewsbury & Atcham Conservative Association continues to seek people to stand as candidates for the Shropshire Unitary Council and Shrewsbury Town Council elections.
People of all ages and backgrounds become Conservative councillors and with them they bring a range of different skills and viewpoints to the running of their local association and councils. Skills developed at work, through voluntary service, through community involvement, through raising a family, along with specific local knowledge, can be very valuable to a good councillor. Younger people and people from specific communities can help to influence policy, decisions and services in line with their particular perspective.
Whether you are concerned about your local play area, local services or national policies and if you think you could make a difference then the Shrewsbury & Atcham Conservative Association is keen to hear from you. We are seeking Conservatives who are motivated, hard working, positive and community-minded to join our candidate selection and training programme. It's your chance to be part of an exciting time for our Town and County. There's some big investment coming to our area and exciting plans to radically transform our locality for the better.
The Conservative Party is an open-minded political organisation, keen to identify people with drive and initiative who can contribute to the Association and both local councils. We have strong teams of Conservative Councillors in both the Unitary and Town Councils. There are plenty of opportunities in many areas and we are eager to broaden our membership and candidate base, we would, of course, be very happy to hear from the younger members of our communities.
