The Supper Club
The Supper Club was founded in 2002 by the late Councillor Gill Chaplin and comprises of a meal followed by a speaker of political interest. It meets at the Beaconsfield Club, Meadow Place near the Bus Station on the last Friday of each month at 7.00pm for 7:30pm from October to April.
Attendance is open to all members and they may bring non members as their guests.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal and there is no seating plan, which we hope will encourage people to join us even if they are on their own.

The Ladies Luncheon Club
Friendly and informative gatherings for Conservative Party lady supporters.
The Luncheon Club was founded in 1979 as a forum for ladies of similar beliefs and interests to meet in congenial surroundings and make new friends. The club seeks to appeal to a broad age range of Conservative Party supporters, enlisting after-lunch speakers to present on a variety of topics that are sometimes serious and thought provoking, sometimes amusing, but always aim to be entertaining. A warm welcome is extended to newcomers who wish to join or come as a guest to a particular event.
Members, plus invited guests, meet from September to May, generally on the last Wednesday of each month at the Shrewsbury Beaconsfield Club, Shrewsbury.
Our get-togethers open at 12:00-12:30pm and include a guest speaker and are followed by a 2 course lunch in an informal and friendly setting. All new comers are very welcome.

The 200 Club
This is an excellent way of supporting the Shrewsbury & Atcham Conservative Association in providing very needed campaign resources to fight local and national elections!
Purpose
- The purpose of the 200 Club is to provide a regular lottery draw for Members – proceeds to be shared between prize winners and the Party.
- It is administered by the Association, under the general direction of the Treasurer.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions will be fixed annually – currently £20 per ‘stake’; multiple stakes are allowed, as are couples holding one stake between two. Should subscriptions be adjusted, prizes will normally be altered to keep the return to stakeholders roughly constant.
- Renewals will be notified one month in advance by post/email. Renewals can be placed online at www.
Size & Prize Levels
- The prizes vary with the size of the Club as we grow – giving stakeholders better and more prizes as the Association gains more profit. The levels are currently:
- Below 50 members. The Club is barely profitable or unprofitable. The situation is to be reported to the Association for emergency action or closure. In the interim the Club shall pay £40 monthly prizes but no special bumper prizes.
- 50 to 100 members. The Club should pay out £40 monthly prizes and special annual (December) bumper prizes of £200 and £100 We are currently at this level.
- 100 to 150 members. The Club should pay out £40 monthly prizes and special bi-annual (December and June) bumper prizes of £200 and £100.
- 150 to 200 members. The Club should pay out £50 monthly prizes and special bi-annual (December and June) bumper prizes of £250 and £100.
- 200 to 250 members. The Club should pay out £60 monthly prizes and special
bi-annual (December and June) bumper prizes of £300 and £150.
The Draw Itself & financial results:
- The Administration Data of the Club is currently held on the Association computer. Current membership lists are available, together with lists of prize winners. The Accounts will be audited annually with the Association Accounts, as at December 30th. Overall results for the Club year will be published and will be available on request soon after the Club ‘year end’.
- Where possible the draw will be done publicly at a convenient Conservative Event somewhere in the Constituency. When this cannot sensibly be done, the Draw will take place in the Association Office in the presence of an Officer.
- The prize winner (if not present) will be notified by post, and the result published in a Prize winners List which is available to see at the SACA Office, Flat 1, 17 Meadow Terrace, Shrewsbury, SY1 1PE.
Winners will receive their cheque shortly after the draw.
A listing of winners to date is available from the SACA office.
