The Beaconsfield Club is owned by the Association of Conservative Clubs and is based in the heart of the wonderful market town of Shrewsbury. It's the oldest club in Shrewsbury! Originally founded in 1881 it has had several homes around the town during its history but now sits proudly in Meadow Place. In 1881 like-minded Shrewsbury gentlemen got together to establish The Beaconsfield Club. It opened its doors in honour of Benjamin Disraeli who had represented the constituency for a few months in 1841 and 1842.
Now a thriving Members Only Club it holds many social events. There is a well stocked bar with Guest Ales, the Churchill Café sells a great range of freshly cooked meals, there is a full snooker table available and they also offer members rooms for hire including the Disraeli room which seats around 65 and has a dance floor and stage. At around a £1 per week membership its certainly worth joining!
